New Year Resolutions! 2012

Well another year has come and gone and I can't help but say it has been quite a year. I have found the man of my dreams, I am now engaged and soon to be married, moved to another state, made new friends, and I am closer to God then I have ever been. I am so blessed and lucky words can't even begin to express my happiness. With that being said I can also say that my heart aches and will always be missing a piece. I dearly miss my brother Shawn but will always hold him close to my heart. I know that he is looking down on all of us and smiling. With another year gone and a new one arriving, I can't help but think it has gone by too quickly but that only makes me realize that this year I need to cherish everything around me more and be grateful for the blessings that I have. In 2012 I plan to become closer to God, be happy with the things that I have, and never go a day without telling my loved ones how much they mean to me. The Lord has blessed me abundantly and I vow to never forget that. I pray everyone has a blessed New Year!

Today's Scripture: Proverbs 4: 18-27
The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, 

   shining ever brighter till the full light of day.
¹⁹ But the way of the wicked is like deep darkness;
   they do not know what makes them stumble.

 ²⁰ My son, pay attention to what I say;
   turn your ear to my words.
²¹ Do not let them out of your sight,
   keep them within your heart;
²² for they are life to those who find them
   and health to one’s whole body.
²³ Above all else, guard your heart,
   for everything you do flows from it.
²⁴ Keep your mouth free of perversity;
   keep corrupt talk far from your lips.
²⁵ Let your eyes look straight ahead;
   fix your gaze directly before you.
²⁶ Give careful thought to the^[c] paths for your feet
   and be steadfast in all your ways.
²⁷ Do not turn to the right or the left;
   keep your foot from evil.
